Extending your library's reach: How to write a successful library communications plan | A Webinar

As part of Library & Information Week the City of Karratha, in Partnership with the State Library of Western Australia, are holding a regional conference for East and West Pilbara Libraries. ALIA are supporting the event by connecting subject matter experts in a webinar session aimed at developing a library communications plan.

Perri Jackson and Sara Culverhouse from Curtin University Library will walk through how to plan your library’s communication to clients, and share some tips from their own successful communication activities. Topics covered will include identifying target audiences, using communication channels, sourcing content and measuring success.

About the Presenters
Sara Culverhouse has worked for Curtin University Library as a Communications Officer since 2015. She received her Bachelor of Commerce (Public Relations) and Bachelor of Arts (Internet Communications) from Curtin University, and has a background in non-profit organisations and tertiary education. Sara has a particular interest in internal communication and online media.




Perri Jackson received her Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Advertising) from Curtin University and has worked for the Curtin University Library as a Communications Officer since 2016. Prior to this she gained experience working in Marketing roles in the non-profit, Property, Indigenous Education, Import/Export and the Mining sectors. Perri is enthusiastic about finding new ways to engage with audiences through social media.
