ALIA President visits Curtin Library and Information Studies Students

On Thursday 3rd April Roxanne Missingham, ALIA President visiting from Canberra, and myself (as 2008 ALIAWest Convenor) visited a group of Curtin University Library and Information Studies students.

Roxanne Missingham outlined the benefits of joining ALIA and I explained why I became involved in ALIA and what the benefits are from my perspective. Roxanne's presentation can be accessed here:

We were treated to coffee afterwards by our generous host, Kerry Smith, which gave us a wonderful opportunity to network with the students in an informal setting.

It was great to be able to meet so many bright stars of the future. Thanks to Kerry Smith and the Curtin Library and Information Studies students.

ALIAWest looks forward to visiting Curtin and the other WA Library education providers later in 2008.
