Saturday 28th August, 2021 GLAMR enthusiasts, special guests and VIPs
joined the ALIAWest committee, both in person and online, for a special
professional development event -
GLAMR Opportunities: Cultivating Your Career.
Guests
were privy to an array of speakers from ALIA, WA Museum Boola Bardip,
LARISA and Family History WA, as they discussed different opportunities
available to boost participants'
careers. The industry professionals discussed joining committees,
volunteering and applying for awards and scholarships.
ALIA
superstars Helen Balfour and Alissa Sputore then shared their journeys
and career advice with the eager audience and presented the 2019 and
2020 F.A. Sharr awards to winners
Taylor Coventry and Maranne Purnell.
