The Australian Copyright Committee (ALCC) and ALIA have launched a
campaign for long overdue copyright reform for unpublished works.
Perpetual copyright exists on unpublished works – unlike published works
for which copyright lasts 70 years after the death of the creator.
Details of the campaign are here https://www.alia.org.au/news/13354/cooking-copyright-day-31-july-2015 and https://fair.alia.org.au/cookingforcopyright
Featuring hand written and unpublished recipes from across Australia’s
library and museum collections, we are encouraging libraries and archives to cook up one of the featured recipes (or choose one of
your old favourites) and share with friends and ALIA via social media to
support advocacy for sensible copyright reform.
If libraries needed any excuses to get baking and
have morning tea together – this is it!
