Wanneroo Library Showcase: Thursday 16th of June at 4pm
Showcasing the “Books in a Bag” program and the new program recently purchased “KitKeeper”.
Book club kits started in the City of Wanneroo in 2004 with 20 kits. We now have 130 kits and 69 clubs with a waiting list of clubs eager to join.
Each kit contains 10 copies of a single title and the aim is to have more than half of the kits to contain an audio copy as well.
We have clubs joined from all over the Northern suburbs and four external library bookclubs from Fremantle, Seville Grove and Carnarvon.
We have recently purchased the program “KitKeeper” which will go live on 1st July. This will allow clubs to book online from home.
City of Wanneroo Library Service is extremely proud to have won the inaugural State Library Board of WA Award for Excellence for this program and are keen to show other libraries this program.
The Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre are also currently hosting the City of Wanneroo Art Awards. As a special treat for our visiting librarians, we will be opening this exhibition for a private viewing after the showcase.
Don’t forget to come a little early to enable you the chance to view the Wanneroo Regional Museum which closes at 5pm or grab a coffee from the Elixir CafĂ©.
