The ALIAWest Committee invites the WA library community to join us for our first event of 2011
The ALIAWestIcebreaker
The event will be held at the newly constructed Central Institute of Technology Library and will include:
- Presentation of the ALIA YBP/Lindsay & Croft Research Award for Collection Services to Dr Paul Genoni. This prestigious award provides the recipient with the opportunity to investigate and research a particular aspect of the development of collection services.
- Report Back Session and Panel Discussion from attendees of the 15th ALIA InformationOnline Conference & Exhibition. Conference attendees will provide a short redux of their papers and share with us the impressions they received, the trends they observed, and other highlights from this exciting biennial conference about the use of technologies in libraries.
- An opportunity to meet the current committee members of ALIAWest and hear about some of our plans for 2011.
- Remember that ALIA events are always a great opportunity to keep in touch with colleagues and to increase your professional network. We hope to see you there!
