IFLA Report back session

Many thanks to Hayley, Gemma and Katie for their efforts speaking at our IFLA report back session.

All spoke about their highlights of the conference and satellite events.

Of course, given it was such a large conference (over 5000 delegates), not all sessions could be attended.

Papers, videos and resources of interest that were mentioned at the report back include:

Lifelong Reading – Barbro Wigell-Ryynanen

The World Through Picture Books Project – Annie Everall (Libraries for Children and Young Adults Special Interest Group)

Digital Picture Books in Libraries Now! – Cecile Trevian (Rouselot Library, France)

My Mission is to Listen: Read to a dog but not just any dog – Raisa Alameri (Sello Library, Espoo City Library, Finland)

The Living Book – Jim Hojberg (Vejle Public Library, Denmark)

Cycling for libraries

Sleepwalking into a control society - Siva Vaidhyanathan

ALA's list of 'challenged books' for 2011

Towards knotworking: designing a new concept of work in an academic library - Yrjo Engestrom

Happy reading!
