ALIA President Damian Lodge travelled to Perth on Monday 10 November 2014 to speak at ALIAWest Penultimate Event.
ALIA WA State Manager Noreen Kirkman said: 'Damian gave an inspiring talk about ALIA, the Board, advocacy, membership and conferences. The importance of ALIA groups was highlighted and strategies to encourage greater involvement. There were many questions from the audience.'
'Helen Balfour gave a very entertaining presentation about her IFLA experience. Camille Peters, ALIA Life Member and incoming ALIAWest Convenor, spoke about the highlights of the ALIA National 2014 Conference in September.'

The ALIA Silver Pin is available to ALIA Personal Members who have served a minimum of five terms (five years) or more on an ALIA Group or Committee (including Special Interest Groups, ALIA Board Advisory Committee, ALIA Conference Committees, or as the ALIA representative on external committees).
The ALIA Silver Pin comprises the pin itself and a letter of thanks from the ALIA CEO.
